A short ride along Bear Trap Creek and Route 81, a bit noisy
Info: This was built during renovations to the Route 81 system, and is a short blacktopped trail from Mattydale heading south-west and roughly following along the side of Route 81 (there is a fence between the highway and the trail) and Bear Trap Creek. Around eight feet wide, with very little elevation except for going over an overpass bridge, a few spots have some bumpy rippled blacktop. The noise of Route 81 can be disconcerting.
Directions/Location: 2803 Brewerton Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211, the Mattydale Shopping Center. In the back of the Mattydale Shopping Center parking lot, behind the K-Mart, head over towards the corner of the parking lot, near where Route 81 travels.
