Joseph A. Blake Wildlife Sanctuary

Info: This is a very well-marked trail system, with some trail name signs and trail markers corresponding to the color of the trail on the trail map.  There is a trail kiosk with a sign in and pamphlets, and a porta-potty.  The parking lot is a fairly good size.  The land seems to be surrounded by private property, a private residence on one side and farmland on the other sides.
A bit wet and muddy during some times of the year but still navigable at any period, there are some elevated walkways and bridges and some wet sections are also filled in with native logs.  Some trails have a few streams that must be forded via rocks or a large step.
Many wooded areas and mostly covered by woods.

Directions/Location/Trail Map: The official Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust website lists 31827 Middle Road, Watertown as the address.  Our’s showed it slightly different but as long as you are traveling down the Middle road you will find it on the right, there is a trail sign right past a private residence.

From Watertown, take Outer State Street (State Route 126) east, then turn right onto Community Drive (County Route 162). Then turn on to Middle Road (County Route 160) at stop sign. The trail parking lot is about three miles down Middle Road on the left side or northward side of the road, there is a wooden trail sign at the entrance.
