Safford Block 1870 (top) and Today

The Safford Block was a four story building built on the corner of Court Street and Public Square in 1850.

In the 1940's, the top two floors of the Safford Block were demolished, and the facade was extensively remodeled. The structure was once the home to Watertown National Bank, and continues to be home to several local businesses.
