The American Corner

The American Corner is the name given to the juncture where Arsenal and Court Streets meet Public Square. The name derives from two buildings which sat at this corner, the American House and the American Building, both of which sat on the site of the current Woolworth Building.

This corner has traditionally been one of Downtown Watertown's busiest intersections.
