The Buck Building is located next to the First Baptist Church
on Public Square
. The lot of the Buck Building originally consisted of three separate buildings (photo, below right), built between 1830 and 1860. These three structures were combined into one building in 1870, and took it's current form in the 1920's.
The Buck Building underwent an extensive restoration project during the 1990's. The first floor today is occupied by businesses while the upper floors consist of apartments.
