capc.jpgCooper Street School, located between Cooper and Davidson Streets, is one of two of Watertown's old 19th century neighborhood schools to remain standing. It was enlarged from a smaller school in 1895. Cooper Street School ceased being an elementary school in 1978, as the student populations decreased. Students were sent to either Starbuck or Meade St. schools. The building today is home to the Community Action Planning Council (CAPC) and their Head Start program.
